The concert, open to the public, will be held at 7 pm
on Saturday January 10th on the campus of the
University of Louisville.
E.K.U. Honors Band Weekend
Thursday January 15th – Saturday January 17th
Eastern Kentucky University
2009 EKU Honors Band Nominees:
Alicia Scrogham, Jordan Wilson, Jacob Harmon, Cole Ripy
Chris Kelly, Jessica Handy, Austin Clark, Micah Searcy,
Brandon Sparrow, Christian Wolfe, Roger Ross,
Sarah Fleming.
Letters of acceptance should be received in the near future.
The weekend begins with auditions on the evening of January 15th’
and concludes with a terrific concert on Saturday the 17th.
Participants will receive full details after acceptance in the bands
have been finalized. Members should anticipate the cost of this years
trip to be (est.) $100.00. This will cover 2 nights hotel with breakfast
and transportation. Detailed pricing and scedules to follow.
K.M.E.A. Solo and Ensemble Festival
Event date: Late February early March TBA
Sign ups for Solo and Ensemble will take place from
December 8th – 11th. Music will be selected and fees will
be collected before Christmas break. Students who do
not sign up and pay by December 19th will not be registered.
Solo Fees: $6.00 Ensemble Fees: $5.00 per member
